Why most websites give no price per metre
A kitchen is not really sold by the metre, even if people talk about it that way. Two metres with a sink unit, a drawer stack and three wall cupboards cost more than two metres of plain door units, and a stone worktop can cost as much as the cupboards under it. That is why kitchen companies ask to measure first.
In October 2026 we read the pricing guides of the Cyprus kitchen companies that come up for these searches. They explain what affects the price and publish no figures. We found no per-metre price from a kitchen maker in Cyprus that we could point to, so we do not give one here.
What was public in October 2026

Prices as listed on the sellers' pages in October 2026. Shop prices for consumers include VAT, which is 19% in Cyprus; a workshop quote may be written with or without it, so ask.
What moves the price
- Length and the number of units. Every unit is a carcass, a front, hinges or runners, legs and a share of the worktop. On the same wall, more narrow units cost more than fewer wide ones.
- Drawers instead of doors. A drawer stack has more parts and a pair of runners for every drawer. It is the most useful base unit in a kitchen and the dearest.
- Wall units and tall units. A run with wall cupboards has roughly twice as many carcasses as one without; a tall larder or oven housing adds full-height panels.
- Fronts. Melamine is the cheapest front. Lacquered or painted MDF, veneer and solid wood cost more, and handleless profiles add again.
- Worktop. Laminate on chipboard is the budget line. Compact laminate, quartz, granite and porcelain are made and fitted by stone suppliers, usually after the units are in, and are priced on their own.
- Hardware. Soft-close hinges and runners are normal now. Brand systems such as Blum or Hettich and inner organisers cost more than budget ones, mostly in the drawers.
- Appliances, sink and tap. Almost always a separate line, and often the biggest one.
- Fitting. Delivery, assembly, cutting the worktop for the sink and hob, connecting water and power.
- VAT. 19% in Cyprus. Check whether a quote says “plus VAT”.
Melamine, lacquer, solid wood: how they rank

Lacquered or painted MDF
Price level: Higher
Good to know: Smooth, any colour, can be routed or made handleless; chips show and need a touch-up.
Veneer and solid wood
Price level: Highest
Good to know: Real wood; needs care next to the sink and the hob.

We put no euro figures next to these: the gap depends on the workshop and its supplier, and we found no published prices for Cyprus to back them.
What the Epiplana designer prices
The designer draws a straight kitchen on one wall: base units on legs, a 38 mm laminate worktop, wall units if you want them, gaps for a dishwasher and a freestanding fridge, and the cut-outs for the sink and the hob. L-shaped kitchens are not in the designer yet. You give the length of the wall and the ceiling height, say what goes where, and the estimate follows every change you make.
The estimate is built from the parts of your design: 18 mm melamine-faced chipboard, 3 mm board for backs and drawer bottoms, ABS edging, cutting, drilling, soft-close hinges and runners. Appliances, the sink and the tap are not in it. When you send the design, a local workshop checks it, comes to measure, and confirms the final price together with delivery and assembly. Nothing is paid on the site; you pay the workshop directly.
How to compare two quotes
- Same wall: the same length, the same number of drawers, wall units or not.
- Same materials: what the carcass, the fronts and the back are made of, and how thick.
- Same hardware: which hinges and runners, and whether they are soft-close.
- Same scope: worktop, delivery, assembly, cut-outs, VAT — in or out.
